    online purchasing

Posted by jane on 18th May 2024

I'm hesitant to give this company a poor review because last time I gave such a review it was on a vet's service; their negligence nearly cost my wee dog his life. So, I was told my custom was no longer welcome.
Of course, this problem isn't so dire; it's this website. I have never been able to buy any of my dog's medication via this website despite adhering to all the regulations, logging into my account and agreeing to the terms. Repeatedly trying is futile. In the end, I'm forced to phone the company to order that way.
I've told them about my difficulties using their site, but they seemed unmoved. Obviously because they haven't done anything about it.
The entire website needs an overhaul; there's no history of what you've ordered in the past i.e. worm and flea treatments just the date, cost and shipping information; when you search for a particular medication random stuff comes up.
I shop online a fair bit so it's not like I don't know what I'm doing (except when I use this website?).
I wish people were more amenable to a bit of constructive criticism. So, I'll wait till Monday and hope I don't have a long wait and that everyone's chipper.

    Cardisure - Pimobendan

Posted by Jacqui on 3rd Mar 2024

Firstly a rating for Pet Chemist itself 5/5 - brilliant service, thank you.
Secondly, a rating for Pimobendan (Cardisure) 3/5 - I have reservations.
Inconvenient - Has to be taken twice a day, 1 hr before feeding to allow adequate absorption. This can be very difficult when the humans often work late or go to work early.
Side effects: Nausea. Therefore my dog will often not want to eat at the end of that hour and it takes considerable coaxing on my part to get her to eat something/anything before I go to work. This can happen as often as 2-3 times a week. This was not a problem before she started on it 8 mths ago and is not a problem on those days I forget to give her the pill.
Please note - My dog was started on it as a preventative for Heart failure. She did not have symptoms beforehand therefore I cannot on how beneficial or not it is.

Cardisure is delicious - so says my pup. Takes easily and the vet reports it is working well for my pup's heart.

    Good value

So much cheaper than the vet!
My Chihuahua x Pomeranian has no issues in taking these, she just takes them straight from my hand :)
