    Carprofen

Posted by Dr Gem Cheong on 26th Mar 2023

My pet dog tore her anterior cruciate ligament. Rather than subjecting her to very expensive surgery and post-operative treatment, I chose to go the non-surgical route. The Vet prescribed Carprofen, whose effectiveness was evident within days. Her limping subsided, and a month later, it is hardly noticeable. It helps that the tablets are very palatable to dogs. I haven't had to hide the medication in food to ensure that it is taken.
