What is Hemp Seed Oil?

Hemp seed oil is the oil obtained by cold pressing the ripened fruits (seeds) of the Hemp Plant. Hemp seed oil does not contain cannabinoids, such as CBD or THC, apart from trace levels.

What is Chia Seed Oil?

Chia Seed oil is one of the best sources of omega fatty acids. Chia Seeds are also a source of many vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin E, iron calcium, magnesium and zinc. Chia seed oil completes the balance. Chia Seed Oil boosts the natural balance of the Hemp seed oil.

What’s in Hemp Seed Oil?

Hemp seed oil has the perfect composition of Essential Fatty Acids (EFA) like Omega 3 and Omega 6. Omega fatty acids are one of the most important factors for skin and coat health in animals.

Other Oils containing Omega’s can have an unbalanced composition of Omega and can cause major upsets in your pets dietary health. With too much Omega 6, your pet’s body would further reduce its Omega 3 levels. Similarly, with an excess of Omega 3, the body would cut back on Omega 6. This can lead to serious instabilities in your pet’s body. As a result, other unbalanced sources of Omega fatty acids like certain ‘fish oils’ can not be relied upon.

The fact that it is a perfectly balanced source of Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids further magnifies the importance of incorporating hemp seed oil in your pet’s diet.

Potential Benefits of Hemp Seed Oil

Skin and Coat: The high Omega-6 fatty acid concentration in hemp seed oil helps to nourish your dog’s skin and coat.

Joints: The Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) in hemp seed oil has anti-inflammatory properties and may help to naturally reduce joint pain, inflammation and the effects of arthritis.

Protein: Increasing protein will support the growth of new and healthier fur, nails and muscle. Protein can also help to convert fat stores into energy.

    Amazing!

Posted by Lindi on 22nd Nov 2022

I don’t usually leave reviews but I thought I would this time in case it helps out another fur parent. I purchased this for our 17 year old Boarder Collie. He has skin issues (allergies) but also arthritis. We were already using a powder supplement daily but recently noticed that he was starting to get sorer and it wasn’t as effective anymore. I purchased the hemp seed oil to see if it would help at all - and it really has made a huge improvement. His skin irritation has settled but most importantly his ease of mobility has improved. No more whimper when he stands up, and he has increased his mobility again (as much as any 17 year old will anyway). If you are looking for something to help with your puppers joint inflammation I encourage you to give this a try, it really has made a difference to my old boy.
