Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Diabetic Dry Dog Food is a complete health nutrition formulated diet for adult dogs with Diabetes Mellitus to help manage glucomodulation. To be fed under veterinary supervision for the nutritional management of post-prandial blood glucose in diabetic dogs.

• Glucomodulation: Cereals of low glycaemic index along with the gelling action of psyllium mucilages reduces blood glucose level after eating.
• High protein: High in protein content to help maintain lean muscle mass and limits a high blood glucose spike after eating.
• Low starch: Formula that contains a reduced level of starch.
• Moderate Calorie: Reduced calorie content helps limit weight gain and maintain ideal body weight.
• S/O Index: The clinically proven formula creates an unfavourable environment for the creation of calcium oxalate and struvite in the urine.

• Diabetes Mellitus and a BCS ≥ 7/9, until glycaemic control

Composition: Dehydrated poultry protein, barley, wheat gluten*, maize gluten, vegetable fibres, hydrolysed animal proteins, animal fats, beet pulp, tapioca, fish oil, psyllium husks and seeds, fructo-oligosaccharides, minerals, marigold extract (source of lutein). Sources of carbohydrates: barley, tapioca.

Nutritional Additives: Vitamin A: 15500 IU, Vitamin D3: 1000 IU, E1 (Iron): 33mg, E2 (Iodine): 3.4 mg, E4 (Copper): 10mg, E5 (Manganese): 43mg, E6 (Zinc): 125mg, E8 (Selenium): 0.05 mg. Preservaties - Antioxidants.

Analytical Constituents: Protein: 37%, Fat content: 12%, Crude ash: 5.3%, Crude fibres: 6.5%, Starch: 19.1%, Total sugars: 0.55%, Essential fatty acids: 2.07%.

• Feed according to the below table - total daily recommended intake. It is recommended to split the daily intake into two separate meals.
• It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use or before extending the period of use.
