Designed specifically for pets
AlphaTRAK is the same blood glucose monitoring system your veterinarian uses in the clinic for diabetic testing. Some pet owners use blood glucose monitors designed for use on humans to measure the blood glucose levels in their diabetic pets. But the blood of dogs and cats is different from one another, and very different from that of humans. Human meters do not take this difference into account and often underestimate the level of blood glucose in the blood of animals.

Good product but unsatisfactory delivery
Unfortunately when I received this product the testing strip vial was open within the packaging, when the instructions indicate the vial should only be open when needed and sealed tightly when not in use. Have not yet heard back from this company yet in regards to this issue. Otherwise the Alphatrak is great, easy to use, only needs a small amount of blood to complete testing and you can turn off the beep, which will help keep my girl calm during tests.

Easy to use. Comes with everything you need. I find it so much easier to monitor my dog at home as he stresses so much at the vet that his readings are not true, they are much higher. The price is not that bad when I compare to the cost of the vet checking my dog's glucose for a day at $139.00 each time.

Can not thank you enough for this product, allowed me to read our fussy bossy cat’s blood glucose. Accucheck we tried before this product only results failing in tears. With Alphatrack, out cat can tolerate so well. Happy days :)

Good Product
Fairly simple to use, handy little carry case, stays awake for a few minutes before automatically turning off, which gives me plenty of time to wrangle my pet if he is being uncooperative. Only wish the pack had come with more testing strips as I have gone through them very quickly.

I am soooo happy with this monitor! I have been struggling with a human BG monitor for my cat and have been frustrated to tears (literally), it was always returning an error, even when I was doing everything right! I couldn’t understand it. It was traumatising having to prick my cat over and over to try the test strips, 10 strips later and still no successful read was ridiculous! I’m so glad I invested in this machine, it has worked every single time, perfectly! It must be because it can be calibrated for a cat. It has saved my life! Or more like my pets life! I’m so so thankful and thrilled! I would recommend this. The Lance isn’t great, but I just use the pin myself to prick her paw. The lances never seem to be effective on her as they don’t go deep enough. But that’s fine.
