How does Pro Plan Liveclear work to reduce allergens in cat hair? All cats produce a common allergen called Fel-d1 in their saliva. When cats groom themselves, Fel-d1 gets on the hair and skin through the saliva. The key ingredient in Proplan Liveclear is a specific protein concentrated and sourced from eggs. When cats eat this protein, it binds to the Fel-d1 and effectively neutralises it in the mouth. By decreasing the active Fel-d1 in the saliva, the allergen that is transferred to the cat’s hair and dander when they groom is reduced.
