Vetafarm Avimec Scaly Face Mite Treatment For Birds (50ml) is a safe and effective topical "drop on" treatment for scaly face mite (Knemidocoptes pilae.) in budgerigars.

Dosage and Administration

Vetafarm Avimec Scaly Face Mite Treatment For Birds comes in a ready to use bottle for easy application directly onto your bird.

• Place drops on any unfeathered area of skin.
• For birds weighing less than 30g, apply 1 drop.
• For birds weighing between 30g and 100g, apply 2 drops.
• Repeat application weekly for three doses.
• Full recovery may take up to 6 weeks.
• If the problem persists, please consult your veterinarian.

New birds may introduce worms, mites, lice and other parasites into your aviary, so it is a good idea to treat them for parasites and quarantine them for a few days first. Otherwise you will need to treat all birds in the aviary.
