Dosage and Administration
Vetafarm Avimec Scaly Face Mite Treatment For Birds comes in a ready to use bottle for easy application directly onto your bird.
- Place drops on any unfeathered area of skin.
- For birds weighing less than 30g, apply 1 drop.
- For birds weighing between 30g and 100g, apply 2 drops.
- Repeat application weekly for three doses.
- Full recovery may take up to 6 weeks.
- If the problem persists, please consult your veterinarian.
New birds may introduce worms, mites, lice and other parasites into your aviary, so it is a good idea to treat them for parasites and quarantine them for a few days first. Otherwise you will need to treat all birds in the aviary.

Worked within a few days
My budgie had scaly legs. The usual methods I had success with in the past wouldn't work so I tried Avimec. I saw results within a few days. The budgies seemed to be happier too and singing more. I treated all the birds even though only one had symptoms. I have followed the instructions and treated twice so far with one more dose to go. Would definitely recommend.
