Adaptil Transport Spray for anxiety contains a dog appeasing pheromone (DAP) which can be used in your dogs environment to help promote feelings of calm and well-being. Adaptil Spray can be sprayed directly on bedding, inside crates, indoor kennels or in the car.

  • Promotes feeling of calm and well-being
  • Odourless and easy to use
  • Spray directly onto bedding, inside crates, kennels or in car
  • Effects last approximately 1.5 - 2 hours
  • Safe for use with dogs of all ages
  • Contains 15.72mg/ml of the synthetic analogue of the dog appeasing pheromone (DAP)
  • Each 60ml bottle of Adaptil Spray contains approximately 50 applications

Adaptil is recommended for the control and management of fear and/or stress-related behaviours in puppies and adult dogs including:

  • separation anxiety,
  • destructive behaviour,
  • vocalisation,
  • house-soiling,
  • hypersalivation and excessive licking,
  • sleep disorders,
  • feeding problems, and
  • phobias such as fear of thunderstorms and fireworks.

Adaptil can also help dogs be more responsive to behavioural therapy and training. Adaptil helps puppies more readily adapt to their new environment after adoption or re-homing. It comforts dogs in new or stressful environments, and helps them to cope more easily with visitors and strangers.

How to use the Adaptil Spray

  • Spray 8 to 10 pumps, 15 minutes before the dog is introduced into the environment (e.g. car, carrier etc.)
  • Renew application after 1.5 - 2 hours, or if you notice a reduced effect.
  • Do not spray directly onto an animal or near an animal's face.
  • Safe for use with dogs of all ages.

Using Adaptil Outdoors

Adaptil is also useful in reducing anxiety associated with transportation, visits to the vet, and boarding in kennels, and can reduce stress for dogs in a shelter environment. An Adaptil collar is needed to control stressful situations outdoors, while the Adaptil Home diffuser is designed for use in the home.

    Adaptil Travel spray

I recently acquired a 20 month old rehome Swiss Shepherd which is hyper energetic - best described as the energiser bunny without an off switch! I use this spray on the bedding in her crate inside the house. I felt that it did help settle her faster when I put her in there for a few hours of "quiet time". I think it especially helped in the first few weeks of settling in to a new home. I plan to use it for another couple of months while she is still settling in and learning a few house manners. I tried hemp oil first but didn't think it helped.

We have used the collar in the past & with a 10hr drive needed an added layer of anti anxiety stuff.
This helped take the edge off our dog & she settled much quicker than without it.

    Adaptil Spray

Ive been using theis spray for about a year now. I started with spraying a bandana during thunderstorms or during loud noises that was stressing my dog. I now spray her collar each morning before going to work. I feel it does a bit of calming so I will continue to use it on her collar.
