Side Effects of the Active Ingredients
SAMe
- SAMe has a wide safety margin
- Side effects or overdose effects are rare, but are limited to mild gastrointestinal signs, immediate post pill nausea and food refusal
- Concomitant use of SAMe with tramadol, meperidine, dextromethorphan, pentazocine, MAOIs (selegiline), SSRIs (fluoxetine), other antidepressants (amitriptyline, clomipramine) may theoretically cause additive serotonergic effects
- Use with caution simultaneously
Silymarin
- Silymarin typically has no side effects, but consider drug interactions in polymedicated patients, such as the following: antiviral drugs, drugs affected by cytochrome P450 & CYP3A4 inhibition and drugs cleared via hepatic glucuronidation
Vitamin E
- There are no commonly noted toxic effects derived from vitamin E supplementation, although it may inhibit the absorption of other fat- soluble vitamins when administered at high doses
- Therefore, it is recommended to not exceed a total daily dose of 400IU per dog
- Vitamin E is not recommended in liver disease patients with evidence of vitamin K deficiency

Insanely huge tablets
Ridiculously large tablets. Bigger than anything human I've seen! Very difficult to get dog to eat, wl not eat willingly. Have to give with small amount of food or force down throat.

Hepatoadvanced
Have been using this for over 6 months now for our border collie. She had a liver operation to remove a cancerous tumour. The tablets were recommended by our vet. Her last blood tests for liver were good. The pet chemist’s price was great and they were delivered very quickly. Thank you.

Hepatoadvanced
This is a great product and has extended the life of my 15 yr old dog. It is incredibly expensive, which means it wouldn’t be possible for many people to afford. Milk thistle is ok as a substitute but not really as effective as this.

Recommended by specialist Vets for my aging Labrador. She happily takes these daily. This is the cheapest way to purchase the medication.
